Senior Graphic Designer

Duties: Graphic Designer must have a strong grasp of design, layout, typography, and ability to contribute to creative processes from concept to execution, and knowledge of printing, graphic design, illustration and graphic communication, including page layout and illustration. Create corporate branded graphic designs, concepts, and layouts. Solve complex design problems while innovating and enhancing brand identity using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Produce and manage an easy-to-navigate 3D asset library and produce conceptual illustrations, diagrams, artwork & 3D CAD for presentation packages & prototypes using Autodesk Maya. Organize and store all digital content in set locations, categories, dates, etc. using various file types (jpeg, pdf, psd, indd, ai, png, tga, etc).

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or related degree. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. 3 years of experience in graphic design or graphic arts. Within those 3 years of experience, applicant must have at least one year of experience:

o As a Digital Media Specialist, designing for print and/or digital platforms

o Using Maya, Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to design high-end visual information materials. 

o Editing and manipulating images, lifestyle images, and content mining. 

o Working with a project management software system. 

o Working in a Mac OSX environment.

Applicant’s professional portfolio must show these competencies:

o Creating quality work targeted to those demographics whether it be age, gender, race, etc. 

o Applying graphic and communication design skills 

o Sketching layouts and concepts quickly by hand.

o Using 3D modeling, rendering, and asset creation packages.

o Applying production and printing methods for environmental graphic design.

o Using graphics software on personal computers.

o Using electronic publishing and computer illustration/photo manipulation.

o Applying typography, color use, and principles of design.

o Knowledge of illustration and motion graphics.

Portfolio must be presented to prove that the applicant meets these job requirements and particularly the ability to work across various demographics.
